Marissa is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sacred Heart University. Marissa specializes in working with children, teens, and young adults who are navigating anxiety, low self-esteem, OCD, and other mood disorders. She is passionate about supporting neurodivergent clients, including those with autism spectrum disorder, helping them embrace their strengths and navigate challenges.
Marissa meets clients where they are and allows them to take the lead in their journey. Using compassionate and individualized approaches, she incorporates unconventional methods to help clients express themselves and explore their emotions in ways that feel meaningful to them. This may include creative expression, play, or other nontraditional approaches, and she provides a safe space for clients to explore these methods at their own pace.
She is passionate about supporting children, teens, and young adults as they navigate life’s ups and downs. Her approach is gentle and welcoming, creating a space where each person feels truly seen and heard. Here, clients are invited to lead the way, explore their emotions, and discover empowering ways to grow, heal, and thrive with confidence.
Understanding that every individual’s experience is unique, Marissa tailors her therapeutic approach to meet each person’s specific needs and goals. She offers both in-person and virtual sessions to ensure flexibility and comfort for clients. Marissa encourages clients to lead the therapeutic process, explore their emotions, and develop healthy coping strategies to build resilience.
As the Administrative Assistant, Marissa supports a range of administrative systems, adapting quickly to team needs while also assisting with social media, outreach, and day-to-day operations.
