First Responders
Marissa is a pre-licensed professional currently pursuing her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Sacred Heart University, as well as her license as a Professional Counselor. She developed a passion for the helping profession through her work with children with autism and through her involvement with a non-profit focused on supporting incarcerated individuals transitioning back into the community. These experiences have deepened her commitment to mental health awareness and treatment.
Marissa's primary interest is working with adolescents, teens, and young adults who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, OCD, depression, and mood disorders. She is also dedicated to supporting first responders experiencing mental health difficulties related to the unique stressors of their profession. Her approach is compassionate, structured, and individualized to each client.
Understanding that every individual’s experience is unique, Marissa tailors her therapeutic approach to meet each person’s specific needs and goals. She offers both in-person and virtual sessions to ensure flexibility and comfort for clients. Marissa encourages clients to lead the therapeutic process, explore their emotions, and develop healthy coping strategies to build resilience.
As Administrative Assistant, Marissa supports a range of administrative systems, adapting quickly to team needs while also assisting with social media, outreach, and day-to-day operations.
