Vanessa (she/her) is a Licensed Master Social Worker who has received her Bachelors in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University and Masters in Social Work from Sacred Heart University.
Vanessa began her career at a non-profit organization for early childhood education, where she fell in love with helping young children, families and the community. Vanessa has over 10 (+) years of experience working with children, ranging from ages 4-18, in both private and public school districts. Since earning her degree, Vanessa has worked in private schools as a School Social Worker, where she obtained her Yale RULER Certification, which is an approach to social and emotional learning (SEL) that teaches emotional intelligence to people of all ages, with the goal of creating a healthier society. She has experience working with developmental delays, depression, anxiety, PTSD, autism, trauma, family conflict and other mental health diagnoses.
Vanessa blends a combination of modalities including; Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Vanessa firmly believes, “therapy is unique and designed differently for everyone” therefore individual treatment plans are specially crafted for YOU the client! Vanessa believes it’s important for clients to feel safe, supported, and empowered. Vanessa’s goal is to help clients navigate through life challenges and transition into a happier and healthier state.
When Vanessa is not working she enjoys going to the beach, painting, being with friends and listening to Taylor Swift, (yes, she is a “Swiftie”)
