Karlie is a Licensed Master Social Worker who brings both clinical expertise and deep empathy to her work as a therapist. She holds a bachelor's degree from Fairfield University and earned her Master of Social Work from Sacred Heart University. Before entering the field of mental health, Karlie worked as a finance executive. During that time, she experienced a profound personal loss and struggled with infertility, which inspired a meaningful career shift toward her true calling which is supporting others through life’s most difficult moments.
As a therapist, Karlie is committed to creating a space where clients feel seen, validated, and empowered. Her approach is collaborative and compassionate, focusing on helping clients build practical coping skills and challenge unhelpful thought patterns. She believes in the power of a trusting therapeutic relationship and works with each client to create a clear path toward both short-term relief and long-term growth.
Karlie has experience supporting individuals through infertility, perinatal and postpartum challenges, child loss, traumatic events such as cancer and other life-limiting diagnoses, as well as grief, loss, and bereavement. She also provides support for caregivers and family members navigating these experiences.
In her clinical work, Karlie uses a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, cognitive restructuring, mindfulness and grounding techniques, and trauma-informed care. She draws on both her professional training and lived experience to walk alongside clients during times of pain and uncertainty, offering validation, hope, and steady support.
Outside of her work, Karlie enjoys spending time with her family, listening to live music, and cuddling with her dog. A former collegiate athlete, she continues to embrace opportunities to stay active and enjoys the challenge of friendly competition.
