Brendan is a compassionate counselor dedicated to helping clients better understand themselves and navigate life’s challenges. He earned his Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Fairfield University and his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, and Lifespan Development from University of Scranton. Brendan was drawn to counseling through his interest in human experiences and his passion for building meaningful connections that support growth and healing.
Brendan approaches therapy as a collaborative process grounded in curiosity, respect, and genuine human connection. He strives to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable speaking openly about their experiences. Together, they explore patterns, emotions, and life circumstances while identifying strengths and internal resources that support growth and healing.
His work has primarily focused on young adults experiencing anxiety, including generalized, social, and separation anxiety, as well as depression, attention difficulties, low self esteem, and major life transitions. Brendan also has experience supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds, including immigrants and first generation clients, LGBTQIA+ clients, and individuals from historically underserved communities.
His approach is primarily client centered while integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help clients build insight, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful change. Brendan believes everyone has the capacity for growth and strives to create an environment where clients feel supported and empowered.
Outside of the therapy room, Brendan loves immersing himself in music, books, video games, and movies, as well as spending time in nature, fishing, or just enjoying the outdoors. He finds these activities energize him and remind him of the importance of balance and curiosity in life.
