Sashyana Wright, Pre-Licensed Clinician

Sashyana is a pre-licensed clinician completing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Bridgeport. She earned her Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Western Connecticut State University, and her experience as a case manager and correctional counselor has strengthened her dedication to providing meaningful mental health support across diverse settings.

Sashyana creates a safe, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered. Her therapy style is warm, insight-oriented, and client-focused, encouraging individuals to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors with curiosity and self-compassion. She believes that healing and growth happen through connection, reflection, and practical skill-building.

She specializes in working with adult male offenders in correctional settings, assisting clients with mental health challenges, daily stressors, and navigating life within structured environments. During her studies, she developed a strong interest in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques, which she uses to help clients connect with their inner selves, shift unhelpful thought patterns, and develop tools to cope with challenges. Her goal is for clients to leave therapy with meaningful strategies, increased self-awareness, and confidence to navigate life’s hardships.

Outside of her professional work, Sashyana enjoys reading, painting, journaling, meditating, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends. She also enjoys hosting events and gatherings, finding joy in creating connection and community.
