Luana Braga, LMSW

Luana is a Licensed Master Social Worker who has received her master’s degree and bachelor’s degree in psychology at Southern Connecticut State University. Luana is a firm believer in meeting people where they are to fully comprehend one’s trials and tribulations, all while providing a safe and judgment free space. 

Since receiving her bachelor’s degree she has been providing teens the guidance, understanding, tools to improve in overall family dynamic, and managing mental health. Luana started her journey in the mental health field as a technician working her way up to becoming an experienced therapist helping those with PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, Substance Use  Personality and Mood disorders in a neighboring residential facility for the past five years. 

Luana’s approach to therapy includes building a therapeutic alliance, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance Commitment Therapy to ultimately develop new skills in hopes to ease day to day struggles.

Luana has a love for animals, nature, traveling and spending quality time with friends and family.
