Julia Walker, LPC-A

Julia Walker is a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who is passionate about supporting children, teens, and adults as they navigate life’s challenges. She earned her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Southern Connecticut State University. Drawn to the counseling field by her desire to understand people’s experiences and provide meaningful support, Julia is committed to fostering growth, resilience, and positive change in her clients’ lives.

She creates a safe, validating, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, empowered, and supported. Julia’s approach is collaborative and strengths-based, focusing on each client’s unique needs and goals. She integrates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients build coping strategies, increase self-awareness, and develop confidence in making lasting changes.

Julia works primarily with children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other life stressors. She is passionate about helping young people strengthen coping skills, foster resilience, and build self-esteem as they move through important developmental stages. She also partners with families to improve communication and create supportive environments where children and teens can thrive.

In her clinical work, Julia draws from CBT and SFBT to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop practical tools, and build on their strengths. She believes that every child and teen deserves to feel supported, understood, and capable of growth. Her mission is to empower clients and their families to navigate challenges with confidence and create meaningful, lasting change.

Outside of the therapy room, Julia enjoys cooking and hosting gatherings, relaxing at the beach, spending time with friends, and getting lost in a good book. She values building meaningful connections both in and out of the office and treasures time with the people who matter most.
