Jennifer DiSilvio, LMSW

Jennifer earned her master’s degree in social work from Louisiana State University in August 2024, specializing in trauma, grief, and bereavement. Jennifer has had 15 years of experience working on multiple hospice teams and as a part of the integrative medicine team at Smilow Cancer Hospital. In addition, she is experienced in working with individuals and groups grappling with grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, and serious health concerns.
She is dedicated to creating a safe space where clients can freely express themselves without judgment, discover their inner strengths, and access the tools needed for their journey. Jennifer employs an eclectic and collaborative approach to therapy, tailoring interventions such as dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and person-centered therapy with a focus on mindfulness techniques and self-care to suit each client's unique needs. Jennifer believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is forged through collaborative efforts, empathy, and active listening.
Jennifer is also a licensed massage therapist and Reiki master teacher, with extensive training in oncology, medical, and trauma-informed massage therapy. As a nationally certified massage and Reiki educator, she shares her expertise, teaching students how to work safely and effectively with individuals facing various physical and mental health challenges.
In her free time, Jennifer is passionate about attending live music events, writing, traveling, and spending time with her cats, friends, husband, and two adult children, along with their significant others.
