Habbiegale Brown, LMSW

Habbiegale Brown is a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Master Social Worker who is committed to supporting individuals as they navigate life’s challenges and work toward meaningful growth. She earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Fairfield University and brings experience across outpatient therapy, hospital social work, community-based services, counseling, and case management. These experiences have allowed her to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and support clients through a wide range of life experiences.

Habbiegale creates a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to be honest about what they are experiencing. She believes that genuine connection is an important part of the therapeutic process and takes the time to understand each client’s thoughts, emotions, experiences, and goals. Her approach is collaborative and individualized, recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing.

Habbiegale works with individuals navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, substance use, co-occurring mental health concerns, and trauma-related experiences. She works alongside clients to develop healthier coping strategies, better understand patterns that may be affecting their lives, and build confidence in their ability to navigate challenges.

In her clinical work, Habbiegale draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)-informed, Solution-Focused, Client-Centered, Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)-informed approaches. She tailors her approach to each client’s individual needs, strengths, and goals while balancing practical skill-building with reflection and emotional support.

Habbiegale believes that healing looks different for everyone and that progress does not always happen in a straight line. Her goal is to meet clients where they are, provide compassionate support along the way, and help them recognize their strengths while creating meaningful and sustainable change.

Outside of the therapy room, Habbiegale enjoys reading psychological thrillers, spending time with family and friends, and challenging herself to bake something new on the weekends. She also loves cooking, exploring new restaurants and cuisines, visiting museums, and discovering new books. She enjoys creating memories with the people around her and is always open to trying something new.
