Cassandra is a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor who is passionate about creating a safe, welcoming space where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered throughout their therapeutic journey. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Bridgeport and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Sacred Heart University. Cassandra is recognized by the National Board for Certified Counselors and is a member of the American Counseling Association and Connecticut Counseling Association.

Cassandra believes that the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful healing. She takes a humanistic and collaborative approach, meeting clients where they are while creating space for honest exploration, self-awareness, and growth. She values building trust and connection so clients feel comfortable bringing their full selves into the therapeutic process.

Cassandra works with adolescents, adults, couples, and families who may be navigating anxiety, depression, personality-related challenges, perinatal and postpartum concerns, mood disorders, trauma, PTSD, and relationship challenges. She also has experience working with LGBTQIA+ clients and values creating an inclusive environment where individuals and families feel respected and supported.

In her clinical work, Cassandra draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)-informed, Solution-Focused, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-informed, and Motivational Interviewing approaches. She is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which she incorporates when appropriate to support clients processing trauma and distressing experiences. Cassandra tailors her approach to each client’s unique needs, experiences, and goals.

Cassandra believes that therapy is a collaborative process and that meaningful change begins with feeling safe, heard, and understood. Her goal is to help clients develop greater self-awareness, strengthen coping skills, and build confidence as they navigate challenges and create meaningful change in their lives.

Outside of the therapy room, Cassandra is a proud mother of two daughters who have taught her the importance of humility, meeting people where they are, and embracing change. She is also an avid reader and lifelong learner who values family, inclusivity, connection, and continued personal growth.
