Betsy is an experienced and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and Registered Dance/Movement Therapist who is deeply passionate about helping individuals reconnect with their bodies as a pathway to healing. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University with a specialization in dance/movement therapy. With a background as a movement instructor, professor, and therapist, Betsy brings a unique and integrative perspective to her clinical work.

Betsy creates a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and grounded. Her approach is humanistic and relational, emphasizing trust, collaboration, and the importance of meeting each client where they are. She believes that true healing involves reconnecting with the body and that through movement, individuals can access deeper awareness, insight, and personal growth.

Betsy works with adults, young adults, teens, and couples navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, trauma, and life transitions. She is particularly passionate about supporting clients in developing a stronger mind-body connection, helping them feel more balanced, present, and in tune with themselves.

In her clinical work, Betsy integrates mindfulness, movement-based therapy, and somatic EMDR to support clients in processing emotions and experiences in a holistic way. Her movement-based framework allows clients to explore and express themselves beyond words, fostering clarity, self-awareness, and emotional release. She combines this with evidence-based practices to help clients feel more grounded, resilient, and empowered.

Betsy’s goal is for each client to leave sessions feeling more connected to themselves—more self-aware, more at ease in their mind and body, and more confident in navigating life’s challenges. She strives to help individuals cultivate a deeper sense of clarity, self-trust, and inner balance.

Outside of the therapy room, Betsy cherishes spending time with her adult children, family, and friends, especially in natural settings. She also finds joy in the studio, where she continues to dance and choreograph, nurturing her lifelong passion for movement and creative expression.
